For such people it’s easy to become practical and cut all chords with the divine. But what lies in the heart is the balance where your light meets your darkness. There is no tantra without love, tantra is the rhythm of pure love- cosmic dance. If shakti is engulfed in greed, jealousness and evil intensions, the heart turns towards darkness. It’s important to purify at the basic level.
Left path of tantra has 5 Makkar 1. madya (alcohol), 2. māṃsa (meat), 3. matsya (fish), 4. mudrā (grain), and 5. maithuna (sexual intercourse), and this is common with layman. Many are into alcohol and meat. But left path tantra doesn’t want you to get overwhelmed with it, it teaches you to let go of the bondages that are a hinderance to your growth. The 5M’s are a source for one to counter darkness not to get engulfed in it.
Some wiseman had said once one must fulfill all desires and should continue to enjoy, unless one gets tired and is ready to give up or let go. A person who is dying, breathing his last is also attached to his breathe, a yogi has a desire to have a pratyaksha experience of divine. So, are we being led by desires? Or we are leading it? Whatever be the answer, humans have no control over their breathe nor over what goes on inside.
A human body is a cremation ground; he burns every thought each second and from ashes rises new thoughts. But he forgets, desires/maya is only that stays as memory and gets carried to a newer body while the old body of 5 elements turns to ashes.
Majority of people don’t understand bali starts with annihilating ego and self-identification and aghor is not just alcohol and maithuna, as today’s people have perceived rather it’s a process of facing your darkness, embracing it and accepting your wholeness.
